hi there,
my boyfriend has lymphoma which isn't easily treated with western medicine so we are looking to get him to a clinic in germany where they have the most up-to date alternative therapies. we need a low-cost or free community space preferably in the city to hold another fundraiser. we're looking to do wine, art, and music.
do any of you out there know of any spaces? $300 is our max.
thanks for your help!
sabine.

Wed, March 11, 2009 - 9:54 PMhi rig daddy!
a few hundred perhaps. we are thinking of a late afternoon/evening event (8hrs. or so)x--indy art and craft fair, food, then music. being able to have our own bar would be ideal.

Thu, March 12, 2009 - 9:00 AMYou might try the Center for Sex and Culture. They have some space but may reserve it for sex positive events only. not sure.
Their tribe is centerforsexandculture.tribe.net and the web site is www.sexandculture.org/.
Email for space rentals: nellie@sexandculture.org. I don't know 'nellie' but Carol and Robert (Director and partner) are good friends.
Hugs,
Rig Daddy

Sat, March 21, 2009 - 1:05 PMThe Climate Theater has held a lot of smallerish events that I've been attending lately. It is a very versatile space.
